Arsenal vs Chelsea: See what Wenger said about Fabregas

Arsenal needs about 10 points to catch up Chelsea while Chelsea needs on 8 points to be crowned the league winners. So for Mourinho and his boys, the game against Arsenal means everything to them and for Arsenal, this game is also vital for they need a winner to maintain their second position and move closer to Chelsea.

One man that may draw a lot of attention at the match is Cesc Fabregas a former Arsenal player. Living Barcelona to join Chelsea at the beginning of this league season, he has shown to be a great asset for Chelsea and has produced a league-high run of 16 assists, forming an excellent understanding with 19 goal striker Diego Costa.

Arsene Wenger speaking about Fabregas said, ” I want Cesc Fabregas to be respected like he deserves it. He is a great player.”

He also said that he wishes the Spaniard never left: “My regret is him leaving here.”

When asked about the tactical genius of Mourinho who once labelled him a “specialist in failure”, he could not helped but chuckled and said, ” It is not my job to assess the geniuses.” He also said that “Sunday match is not about the relationship between managers, it is about watching a good game.”

It may interest you to know that Wenger is yet to topple Mourinho in 13 matches. He needs to break the “Mourinho jinx”.
