Day 3 of the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015 was yet another sight to bestow as top Nigerian designers show cased their best and fabulous collections wowing the audience.
Nigerian designer, Nancy Nwadire’s daughter of Iconic Invanity, opened the show with colourful flirty, playful pieces featuring onesies, co-ord sets, asooke patchwork and more chic looks. Meena followed with classic pieces from their Spring/Summer 2016 looks with tassels forming a timeless detail on their designs.
The super talented designer Mai Atafo’s collection consisted of single and double-breasted suits, ranging from blue and green plaids, and a tuxedo set in black and ultra-luxurious blue and green lace materials. The ladies weren’t left out as they were dressed in powerful attires of different styles, from suit dresses to cropped pants and everything in between; the ladies were not to be messed with.
McMeka showed his versatility by displaying a men and women’s line ranging from bomber jackets to double breasted suits, Fedora hats, printed shirts, tuxedos and ladies in tuxedo shirts and shorts. McMeka shows consistency in style and precision and is definitely fast becoming one of the fashion giants in Nigeria.
Fashion Focus finalists, Red Knight showed off sartorial menswear style playing with damask fabrics. Wuman and Deji Eniola also joined the Fashion Focus finalist showcase with unique presentations.
Yet another finalist Nuraniya presented chic and timeless looks featuring denim in playful unique styles.
Reni Smith showed colour block detailed looks with Mcmeka menwear brand showing a well put together collection for the men and ladies. Dzyn, Laurence Airline all showed amazing looks.
Toju Foyeh shut the runway down with her latest bridal collection featuring breathtaking looks that got the crowd excited.
Sunny Rose unveiled a surprise performance with Di’Ja and Washington Roberts, Eki Orleans, Kelechi Odu, Titi Bello with Mai Atafo shutting down his presentation with a performance and the perfect unisex collection as he closed the show.
In all, the lagos fashion and design week is a great way to step into the world of fashion.
