Recently, in Ondo State, the Police Command rescued Mrs Eralkhuemen Unikiere from the kidnappers’ den and arrested four persons in connection with the crime.
Unikiere, a medical staff member of Rubber Estate Nigeria Limited, Araromi Obu in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, was abducted by some gunmen on her way to church on October 18, 2015.
The abductors later demanded N35m from her family and the company before she could be freed.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, stated this on Monday while speaking with journalists at the headquarters of the command in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
The suspects, according to the PPRO are Tosin Adenikiju, Abiodun Olabowale, Omoniyi Akinsoyimi and Olatunji Igbekele,
Joseph explained that the victim was rescued alive unhurt on Sunday night by a team of detectives, who were mandated to search for her whereabouts.
He added that the nurse was rescued at the riverside area of the state without the payment of ransom.
The police spokesman stated, “After a well coordinated intelligence gathering, the woman was rescued last night (Sunday) unhurt and without any ransom paid by our Anti-Kidnapping Squad led by Supol Onabanjo Adekunle, who stormed the creek and arrested the four suspects.
Joseph stated that all the suspects had confessed to the crime, saying the police were on the trail of other accomplices, who were currently at large.

Recall that, last week, a lady escaped being kidnapped and also 3weeks ago, some security operatives saved the life of a man who was about to be kidnapped, they killed one of the kidnappers and arrested others in delta state.
