When is the Champions League semi-final draw?

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus will find out their European fate on Friday as they bid to reach the showpiece in Berlin

The draw will take place in Nyon at 11:00am, with the first legs to be played on May 5/6 and the return ties the following week on May 12/13.

Reigning champions Madrid reached this stage by eliminating Atletico on Wednesday with a late Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez strike and they will be hoping to become the first team to defend the trophy in the modern era.

Fellow Liga heavyweights Barcelona cruised past Paris Saint-Germain in both legs of their quarter-final and are aiming to reach the final for the first time since they won the tournament four years ago when Pep Guardiola was still in charge.

Guardiola now commands at Bayern and his Bundesliga champions – who could be crowned domestic league winners this weekend for the third season in a row – have reached their fifth semi-final in six seasons, having thrashed Porto on Tuesday.

Juventus’ 1-0 win last week over Monaco was enough to see them into the final four as a goalless stalemate at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday ensured their first appearance at this stage of the competition since 2002-03
