World Bank: Abacha’s Loot Is Too Large For Us To Handle

The World Bank has officially made a statement asking for an increase in time in other to provide detailed reports as to the loot of Nigerian’s former military dictator and Head of State, Late Sani Abacha, saying the loot is too huge for them to handle.

The World Bank said this in response to a request by activists of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) demanding for a detailed documented report with respect to all the loots by the former Head of State which is reportedly over $11.3billion and stashed in foreign banks.

World Bank representatives says, “In response to your request, we would like to inform you that we are still considering your request and we will need additional time because the money involved is too huge for us to handle,”

The report further states that although it takes just 20 working days to respond to such requests, however; under special cases it could take much longer time.
