The Alexis Sanchez saga has dragged on all summer long and we don’t seem to be any closer to a conclusion right now.
The Chilean superstar is into the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and if reports are to be believed, he has become tired of Arsenal’s inability to compete for the Premier League title and make progress in the Champions League.
Of course, no blame can be laid at the 28-year-old’s doorstep. He scored 30 goals in all competitions last season and registered 13 assists too.
There is no doubt that the former Barcelona man had a career season, but Arsenal missed out on Champions League qualification for the first time in 20 years, despite winning the FA Cup.
This had led to reports that Sanchez will seek a move away from the club and his preferred destination is said to be a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
