The Sunshine Integrity Vanguard, a political group, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would split before the 2019 general elections.
According to reports, the political group made its comments in a statement released by its coordinator, Andrew Ogunsakin.
We gather that Ogunsakin stated that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would regain power in 2019, as he claimed that Nigerians had grown tired of the APC.
According to Ogunsakin’s statement, since APC took over in 2015, “things have been getting worse without any solution in sight.”
The statement read further: “We have no doubt that the PDP is now getting stronger, and the leaders reconciling and preparing to take over power from the APC.
“The people are tired of lies and propaganda from the APC.
“We thought the APC would bring real change to the country; but for the past two years, all promises are not being fulfilled, and we want the real change, come 2019.
“The anti-corruption fight is nothing to write home about, it is only targeted at some perceived political enemies and you are not a thief if you are a member of the APC.
“From what the people are saying on the streets, PDP is the party to beat come 2019.”
In a related development, it was previously reported that former Governor Abdulkadir Abdullahi Kure of Niger state revealed what will finally destroy the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, the end of the APC will see the revival of the Peoples Democratic Party, the party that was ousted in 2015 during the general election.
