#ResumeOrResign | Protest with members of your Family – NYCN to Charly Boy, Deji Adeyanju

Even as the ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ protesters and Concerned Nigerians led by Popular artiste, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charlie Boy and Deji Adeyanju respectively has suspended their actions from Abuja, the National Youths Council of Nigeria have insisted that the group should desist from using youths to overheat the polity.

The youths under the aegis of The National Youth Council of Nigeria ( NYCN) said the “Resume or Resign” campaigners should stop using the youth to overheat the polity.

At a press conference held barely 24 hours after an angry mob action against the group protesting the continued absence of President Muhammadu Buhari from office, NYCN’s National President, Comrade Murtala Garba, said such movement was uncalled for.

He noted that Nigeria youth should not be used as a launch pad for violence against constituted authority.

Garba stated that NYCN cannot justify the mob action against the anti-Buhari protesters, but is strongly against the idea of taking a protest to the market square, where many unemployed youth are found on a daily basis.

According to him, “NYCN can never approve the Charlie Boy Movement against President Buhari, the reason been that being sick is never an offence by any law in Nigeria.

“ Being sick is a nature’s call, it is not an offence by any Nigerian law, he has also not violated any provision of constitution, having handed power to his Vice Yemi Osinbajo, and the government is running well.

Also speaking, Comrade Ahmadu Yusuf, called on Charly Boy and his group to show how serious they are with their protest, by bringing members of their families to the street to lead the protest before they will urge other youths to follow.
