Mohammed Salah has shared an image of him in the gym as he races to be fit in time for the World Cup – and he has “good feelings.”
The Liverpool star suffered a heartbreaking injury in the Champions League final, landing awkwardly on his shoulder after being brought down by Sergio Ramos.
There were initial fears that Salah would miss the tournament – but he now should be back for two of Egpyt’s three group games.
Salah posted the image, working with a resistance band, with the caption: “good feelings…”
Well wishers were out in force to wish him good luck, while the image racked up more than 75,000 likes in just an hour.
Earlier this week, the Egyptian FA confirmed that Salah would only miss three weeks at most.
They on Thursday: “[The] Football Federation reaffirms Salah [will play] in the World Cup hopefully and his absence will not exceed three weeks.”
Egypt take on Uruguay in their opening game on Friday, June 15, then face Russia on June 19 and Saudi Arabia on June 25.
