– Juventus are reportedly planning a swoop on Cristiano Ronaldo this summer
– The Real Madrid talisman has refused to commit his future at the Bernabeu
– Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is hoping the Biaconeri lands him in Serie A
Serie A champions, Juventus are lining up a sensational swoop for Cristiano Ronaldo, The Sun, quoting Tuttosports.
The Italian news media outlet claim the Real Madrid superstar is looking for a new challenge after nine years with Los Blancos and winning every trophy on offer.
The 33-year-old has reportedly turned down a new deal at the Spanish capital with his whopping £886m buyout clause lowered to £106m.
And the possibility of the deal happening seems to have improved as his super agent Jorge Mendes has ended a decade of long feud with Juve’s top brass.
Mendes recently worked on a deal to take full-back Joao Cancelo to Turin from Valencia after spending a year on loan at Inter.
Now the beef with Mendes has been resolved as the Italian giants are now exploring the chance of landing Ronaldo in the Serie A.
The Bianconeri are looking to win the Champions League for the first time in 23 years despite dominating the domestic game with seven consecutive Serie A titles.
And signing the Portuguese talisman, who bowed out of the World Cup losing to Uruguay would be seen as huge statement of intent.
Juve’s main target this summer has been Lazio and Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic after signing Emre Can from Liverpool and Douglas Costa on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich.
