Punch reports that the passenger, identified as Ademola Adeleke, had not checked in when the incident occurred.
We gathered that Adeleke was said to have arrived at the airport early in the morning for his flight. According to report, he started gasping for breath at about 5.30am. Before health officials arrived, a passenger tried to revive him by pumping his chest, but all to no avail.
According to an eyewitness, health officials administered oxygen on him in a bid to revive him but that did not work too.

The incident was confirmed by the general manager, Corporate Communications, FAAN, Henrietta Yakubu. She said the passenger slumped as soon as he stepped into the terminal.
She said: “It was so sad. He was probably going for medical check-up before he slumped and died, so we could not confirm which of the flights he was supposed to join.”
