Samuel Chukwueze has promised to maintain the effort he has shown in his first four appearances with the Super Eagles when they take on Guinea in their second group B game at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The 20-year-old winger made his AFCON debut in Saturday’s 1-0 win against Burundi and repaid Gernot Rohr’s faith with an impressive performance.
“It was a tough game but I’m happy we won,”the Villarreal winger told Sports Extra.
“I think I can get better in terms of creating more chances and scoring for the team so they should expect more from me in the next game,”
Nigeria leads Group B with three points and will book a place in the round of 16 with another win against the Syli Nationale on Wednesday.
Chukwueze who is the subject of interest from several top clubs in Europe has however revealed he will remain calm despite the interest.
The former Diamond academy player scored ten goals and provided four assists in 47 games in his first season with Villarreal.
