One Peter Uzioma Obi who is the second witness of Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that he and some others were trained by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to transmit election result.
Atiku had rejected the outcome of the 2019 presidential election which was won by Muhammadu Buhari.
Vanguard reports that Obi who was called as a witness at the election tribunal said INEC provided them with codes which they used to transmit result to the server.
Yunus Usman who is INEC’s lawyer said the witness has no right to transmit result since he was not a presiding officer.
In his response, the witness said: “You are wrong sir. INEC trained us to transmit results. I was not a presiding officer. I was not a polling agent. I was a registration area technician appointed by INEC. I was trained by INEC.”
It was earlier reported that Atiku commenced the presentation of witnesses at the presidential election petition tribunal as he challenges the victory of President Buhari in the 2019 election.
Atiku presented Buba Galadima who has been a fierce critic of President Buhari and serves as spokesperson of the PDP presidential campaign team.
