Oshiomhole Says APC Must Win In A Free And Fair Manner

Ahead of 2019 general elections, Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has on Sunday, February 10, warned state chairmen, secretaries and governorship candidates of the party against complacency in the coming elections.

Oshiomhole who reportedly spoke at a meeting with state critical stakeholders said the party must win in a free and fair manner.

The meeting was also used to brief the state chairmen and secretaries on preparation for the elections and what is expected them.

The Nation reports that the APC national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, in a statement said the meeting was in preparation and discussion of general issues ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

“Oshiomhole stated the party’s national leadership identified the state executives represented at the meeting by their respective chairmen and secretaries as an important grassroots base that will work and ensure the party’s victory in the presidential, governorship, national and state houses of assembly elections.

“The national chairman who hailed the huge turnout of party supporters in the presidential campaign rallies held so far, charged the state executives to work cordially with APC governors and stakeholders in their respective states to ensure the election of all APC candidates,” the statement read in part.
