Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election, has expressed readiness to lay down his life to deliver Nigerians from hardships allegedly inflicted on them by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Daily Trust reports that Obi also confirmed his readiness follow the fight for the return of PDP’s mandate allegedly stolen through rigging by the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election.
Obi made the revelations at the 8th stakeholders meeting of Anambra state chapter of PDP which was held in Awka.
“I am ready to lay down my life to ensure that Nigerians are rescued from the hardship inflicted on them by President Muhammadu Buhari- led Government in the country.
“I will fight for this mandate till the end. The person who is at helm of affair today ran for fourth time and nobody killed him. So, I am not afraid because when PDP was in power, it did not kill anybody,” he said.
Obi said Nigerians want to identify with PDP as the next best option because they have lost confidence in the ruling APC government.
He said: “Nigerians are already disenchanted with the APC, and even the APC members are also complaining, so that has made PDP a brand today, and marked her out as the only party that can deliver Nigeria.”
