President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked God for sparing the life of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and others on-board a helicopter which crash-landed in Kogi state on Saturday, February 2.
Buhari in telephone call he made to the vice president on Saturday said he was impressed with the tenacious spirit displayed by Osinbajo which enabled him to continue on his campaign engagement after surviving a helicopter crash, presidential aide, Garba Shehu noted in a statement released on Sunday, February 3.
“It takes tenacious spirit and amazing spiritual strength to survive a helicopter crash without being paralyzed by its impact. I’m proud of our partnership and your unalloyed loyalty and your commitment to the service of Nigeria,” the statement read.
“That you proceeded with your engagements, despite the accident, is a testimony of your passion for service to country and a reflection of your admirable spiritual fervor.”
Buhari prayed for God to continue to protect Osinbajo and all those on board with him in the incident, the president also asked God to grant Osinbajo more good health and long life to serve our Nigeria even.
Meanwhile, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has thanked God for saving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo from death when his helicopter crash landed in Kogi state.
Adeboye made the statement on Sunday, February 3, at a thanksgiving service at the church’s headquarters in Lagos, Daily Trust reports.
The service was transmitted live via satellite to another congregation named City of Grace in Kogi state, Lokoja, where Yemi Osinbajo attended the thanksgiving service.
